What
is the Music in Bulgaria and how this part of entertainment is creating
the comunity of the Eastern Country?
The history is giving many answers about my questions and this is
very important part of the Bulgarian traditions. Through the years
the traditions had been kept by the citizens and this left the Bulgarian
mind alive. Traditional Bulgarian music is the folk music. The music
is directed to the nation, people from the village and many of the
songs are related with Turkish slavery. Bulgaria and Bulgarian citizens
lived through the years under the reign of Turkey and even for 500
years, the national traditions were not lost. The music is one of
the main basics of the culture and this created the comunity, in
the looking of today.
Later
after the years of democracy on the scene came one different style
of folk music, directed to all people, easier for understanding
and very proper for parties. This was the years of pop-folk music,
or as it is better known - chalga music. I think that this were
the years of real dreams, and the pop-folk realized these years.
Again music signed the history of Bulgaria.
Later on the horizon came pop music, techno music and rap music.
All these styles were copied from the Western European countries
and Americas Countries. This was possible in the years of falling
of the "Iron curtain". In the years after 1989 many borders
fell in front of the citizens of Bulgaria and this gave a chance
to people to see different cultures and different tradition. Years
later the comunity of Bulgaria grew and to music grew with it. |
